team holmgate
would any1 be interested in a new website for just adults to go Geo catching? Harder locations /no toys /bigger prizes/ bigger boxes all free just like normal geo catching. I would be starting this in the derbyshire area. email mikemb@aol.com Quote Link to comment
+The_Incredibles_
You can find every type of cache you want (including very challenging ones) on this site. As for swag, there are plenty of caches with toys for children, but also many with swag that adults will appreciate. Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
Any site that promotes "Adults Geo catching" sounds like a site that should be avoided... If only to avoid spam and adverts for pills and potions that are not legally available 'over the counter' Quote Link to comment
Mr.Yuck
It's Geocaching, not Geocatching. Unfortunately, Groundspeak Inc. accommodates people who think it's Geocatching. Type www.geocatching.com in your browser, if you don't believe me. You want another laugh? type www.yourcachesucks.com in your browser. Quote Link to comment
+Planet
No. I would not be interested. Sounds too much like caching for porn stars. Quote Link to comment
+Planet
If I want to cache with adults, I don't invite children. All my finds are recorded in one place. Then if I want to cache with children, I invite them along. I don't have children, so mostly my caching is adults only anyway. I just love the way people come here and try to interest people into leaving a well established, long standing, tried and true website and ask if they want to come join another one that hasn't even been designed. You are not the first and you won't be the last. But how would this be better than what we have right here? Do you have a whole team of volunteers ready to start reviewing caches to make sure they are properly placed, or did you plan on just using caches from this website? Because you can't do that. Or are you just trying to get a group of childless people together to go caching? Quote Link to comment
+Nemo's Posse
According to his stats, he hasn't been interested in any type of caching since March of 2012!!!! Don't fix what is not broken!!!! Quote Link to comment
+St.Matthew
Nope. If you want tougher geocaches, you have access to that on Geocaching.com. May I suggest finding more than 6 geocaches before you pass judgment. Quote Link to comment
nonaeroterraqueous
You want another laugh? type www.yourcachesucks.com in your browser. Is this like filing for a patent on anti-anti-spam software to protect your anti-spam software? I'm thinking they grabbed the url to keep it from being used. Quote Link to comment
nonaeroterraqueous
would any1 be interested in a new website for just adults to go Geo catching? Sure...we'll follow you to the other side. ...maybe ...not. There's something to be said about someone who would use one person's resources to lure that person's business away. There's something to be said, but forum guidelines forbid saying it. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Not sure if I'd be interest in catching anything but fish. Quote Link to comment
+NYPaddleCacher
Any site that promotes "Adults Geo catching" sounds like a site that should be avoided... If only to avoid spam and adverts for pills and potions that are not legally available 'over the counter' I agree. I remember many years ago when a singles newsgroup was created on Usenet with "mature-adult" in the name. It was intended to be a discussion group for "older" single people but it quickly became overwhelmed with spam, probably just because it used the word "adult" in the name. Quote Link to comment
+MartyBartfast
Can't see it taking off myself. There are already alternative caching site which probably have a higher proportion of bigger/harder caches, and on GC.com it's possible to search/filter out only the bigger/harder caches so I can't see many people joining another site and with out the members it will never fly. +briansnat
If I recall correctly, years ago someone proposed the idea of adultcaching.com. I don't think it ever got off the ground. I don't see the need as we have plenty of "adult" caches here. Quote Link to comment

+TheAlabamaRambler
Not sure if I'd be interest in catching anything but fish. I have a fishing buddy who doesn't care for the game. His idea of a running gag is to ask me "Caught any of them geos lately?" Quote Link to comment

Is this like filing for a patent on anti-anti-spam software to protect your anti-spam software? I'm thinking they grabbed the url to keep it from being used. Naw, I'm thinking just for people who think it's Geocatching. Geocashing.com works too. The OP here is literally about the 100th person I've heard refer to a cache as a catch. EDIT: I see you weren't even talking about that domain anyways, sorry. I didn't quote TAR, but the reason yourcachesucks.com works is that one of the first volunteer reviewers, Mtn-Man, bought the domain name, and redirected it to Geocaching.com. I don't remember the full story, but definitely file it under "Zany reviewer humor". You know, how they all like think Hamsters are funny too? Not funny. Mtn-Man could tell the story himself, as he's still listed as a moderator of this forum, but I'll bet I haven't heard a peep from him around here in a year and a half. I hope all is well with him. knowschad
Seems kind of odd to come to the Geocaching forums to ask about creating a competing website if you ask me. Fortunately for you, I doubt that any1 at headquarters is likely to take you seriously enough to worry about that. Quote Link to comment
+geocat_
With a grand total of 6 finds, I doubt the OP would muster up enough energy to start up a site. He really must have been annoyed with those 6 caches full of kid's swag though Quote Link to comment

+Don_J
would any1 be interested in a new website for just adults to go Geo catching? Harder locations /no toys /bigger prizes/ bigger boxes all free just like normal geo catching. I would be starting this in the derbyshire area. email mikemb@aol.com Would we need a special geocatchers mitt to play, or would a regular one do? Quote Link to comment

+wimseyguy
I spotted a road sign today that read: "This part of the highway adopted by the Triangle Naturist Society" I really don't want to see other people's bouncy bits picking up trash along the highway. I only want to see other people's bouncy bits if I have chosen to go to one of those clubs with some $1's. Quote Link to comment
