+mjstyles Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 So there's plenty of info on the site about US and Canada, but is anyone in the UK interested in finding these benchmarks? I've seen the odd one about but never really looked into them. I know Ordnance Survey and another website maintain databases of them and there are plenty of them around the UK to find! http://benchmarks.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/pls/htmldb/f?p=111:1:11310712237372265392 http://www.bench-marks.org.uk/ If not, it's some long plane journeys before I log any! Virtual Cache GC45CC may be of interest, as it travels around Ordnance Survey trig points, and has its own dedicated YoSM webpage. The primary facility for logging trig points in the UK is T:UK If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to send me a PM. Quote
+Bear and Ragged Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 (edited) Also UK and Ireland Trigpoints over in Waymarking. Other than Ye Ole Survey Marker, Benchmarking in the UK doesn't count with Groundspeak on the caching side of things. That is, YOSM will get you a Found, but doesn't count as a Benchmark.
