There's the Three Dam Challenge that you get a patch when you finish it (get your passport stamped at all three dams). Also, there's a small town on the WA/OR border that has it's own caches out and when you find them all and fill out your "passport", you get a prize. Link to comment

It is a unique journey through a variety of native habitats and landscapes. Along the Geotrail, visitors will encounter native meadows, woodlands, lakes and waterfalls, statues and historic structures. Andronicus Posted January 4, 2013 Share Posted January 4, 2013 Just a clarification for the new one in New Brunswick (March of the 104th), there is 23 caches (although they state 30), but the award is for finding any 15 of them. Also, now I am looking at it a little closer, it seems that it is called either the "104th Regiment Geotrail" or "March of New Brunswick 104th" (rather than all caps). Geotrails are a series of caches placed by an individual or organization where those who find all the caches in the series receive a prize, most often an unactivated geocoin with the name of the trail. If you still have questions about what a geotrail is I would recommend you click on the link for the Alleghney one in PA, as it has a nice explanation. My list currently only list known trails in the US and Canada because that is all that has been brought to my attention. There is one with over 1000) caches, putting them all up on the website one by one, dealing with any issues the reviewer comes up with. Let's say a group of 3 people do the trail together-that's 300 emails(In the space of an hour or 2) lets say a group of 10 do it, that's 1,000 emails. You won't be using ammo cans or LnL's, probably use some form of micro. That means more maintenance. If you decide to make a coin for people it, look at spending $1000-$2000 CDN/US There are ways to do it easier, but not by yourself. It's a lot of work. Link to comment

There is one with over 1000) caches, putting them all up on the website one by one, dealing with any issues the reviewer comes up with. Let's say a group of 3 people do the trail together-that's 300 emails(In the space of an hour or 2) lets say a group of 10 do it, that's 1,000 emails. You won't be using ammo cans or LnL's, probably use some form of micro. That means more maintenance. If you decide to make a coin for people it, look at spending $1000-$2000 CDN/US There are ways to do it easier, but not by yourself. It's a lot of work. AGAIN, this post is only to discuss current active trails to add to the list! If you wish to discuss setting one up please start another topic so that this one does not get bogged down with unrelated material. Additionally, I believe you are mixing the idea of geotrails and power trails, as none of the trails on this list have anywhere near 1,000 caches. Link to comment

I was looking at Uptown Saint John Walking Tour #1 in New Brunswick because I am going to be in Saint John later this year, and from the logs, it looks like there have not been any coins in the cache for over a year, and the CO hasn't commented on people's questions about whether the coins will be replenished. So you might want to remove this one from your list. Link to comment

Using the punch from any 11 of the caches into a log book can be redeemed for a geocoin. The CLSB is a route that circumnavigates the 40 miles long Cayuga Lake (Ithaca, where I live, is at the southern end). It's a nice road that passes by many wineries and through some pretty farm land and many views of the lake. I've done this one, and it is a very fun geotrail. but you only need to find 17 of the 23 to get the coin, you need to find 22 (one of the cache is seasonal access) to get the information to find the 24th. Also, there is a new trail opening in June in Clinton County Ohio that is based around a trail of Barn Quilts. Link to comment

JaxParks is out of coins and is in the process of archiving all the caches from the 2012 challenge. However, a new Jax Park Challenge series with a new coin will be published in July. Link to comment
