TheRhythmClan
Although my computer says that I have the correct application to download caches from geocaching.com to my Garmin Oregon, it is not working in Google Chrome. I can, however, do this using Mozilla Firefox. Was having trouble with Safari so I thought I would try using different browsers. Does anyone know how to get Google Chrome to play nicely with my Garmin Oregon? Quote Link to comment
eusty
As a PM why do you need the communicator? PM's are the way to go Quote Link to comment
BlackRose67
Don't bother with the plug-in, use pocket queries instead. They make life so much easier. Quote Link to comment

geodarts
Even with a PQ, sometimes it helps to transfer a particular cache to a gpsr. I do it if there is only a single cache I am interested in visiting or if there is a new cache and I do not want to run a new query. Is your computer recognizing your Oregon as a separate drive or device? Can you press the gpx file button and save the file directly to the Oregon (in the garmin/gpx folder)? Quote Link to comment
sduck
There are a bunch of reasons to use communicator with a garmin besides transferring pq's. I find it essential to keep a copy of firefox around just so I can do certain things. Communicator works with firefox, not so much with chrome. Quote Link to comment
meark
So here's the question- Why doesn't Chrome and the communicator play nice with Geocaching.com? Because If I remember correctly, it's been a long time if ever that geocaching worked in chrome properly. Edited January 11, 2013 by meark Quote Link to comment
