greasemonkey scripts help

I've used GC Waypoint finder before a useful script which pus a GC find button on the Geocaching banner, but it stopped working on my computer - tried to reload it but when I get to the correct page and hover over the install button it says Install script, but when I click it it comes up with a few pages of actual code.

I tried the same on my laptop and it goes to the correct screen Greasemonkey installation and will install it.

Also on the script page under the install icon I find the instructions - To install, right-click on the icon, and select "Install User Script". If you do not see the menu option, click on the icon to open the file in a new tab (or window), and select "Install This User Script" from the Tools menu. But when I right-click I don't get the option and when I open the file there is not that option on the Tools menu.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

I am not a greasemonkey script expert, and perhaps better to ask on a greaemonkey user board.

I think the problem is that the association is incorrect in your browser.

Thus when you click on the script, the browser thinks its a text file and displays it, rather than knowing it is a script and intalling/executing it.

Tom - it sounds to me rather like Greasemonkey is disabled - therefore it stopped working and therefore when you try to install a script Greasemonkey does not pick up that you are trying to open a script (.user.js)

Please check to see if Greasemonkey is in fact enabled - On my Firefox (17.0.1) the greasemonkey icon is in the top right - same row as the address bar and google search input thingy. - checked that it is Enabled.

I am willing to wager this is the problem and as soon as you enable it your script which is already installed will automatically work.

Thanks for the tip for the script - I like that My Stuff menu option it adds.

If I am right you owe me a beer!

Let me know if yo manage to sort it out! I like Heineken and any craft beer!
