+zeus661
Living in NW Ohio I have a vacation coming up in March 2013 and I am looking for a place to geocache that is no more than a days drive from NW Ohio. I have about a weeks time. Somewhere warm that at most requires a light jacket. Any suggestions? Oh, and I like cheap but clean accommodations. Thanks for any ideas. Quote Link to comment

You really left this one wide open. If we had a week, we would try to target certain challenges along the way. Over the Thanksgiving weekend, we drove down to the Lake Lanier GA area. It's beautiful and we were able to fill some very old gaps in our Jasmer Challenge. We were able to pick up a few along the way that also helped. Take a look at our finds from that weekend. We couldn't fill those dates here in Ohio. Edited December 22, 2012 by Sharks-N-Beans Quote Link to comment
+BBWolf+3Pigs
Find a route south that allows you to grab as many states as possible. Quote Link to comment
+lamoracke
never mind, you wanted a drive, I was suggesting a quick short(ish) flight cache. Edited December 22, 2012 by lamoracke Quote Link to comment
+CdAGeoGeeks
I think we would explore heading over to Washington, DC. Eight hours from Toledo, lots of states to add, and tons of favorited caches in DC and along the way. Quote Link to comment
+wimseyguy
Are you talking early or late March? DC can still be wintery and raw in early March, and affordable lodging hard to find at any time of year. What kind of caches do you want to find? What kind of terrain are you looking for? What are you interested in when you aren't caching besides cheap clean lodging? Nashville TN and Asheville NC are both within a days drive. Quote Link to comment
