+Robespierre
I haven't loaded any coordinates into my Vista in years, by cable. Now my son tells me that I need usb, and my old cable won't and the port on the Vista is too dated... Is this true??? What do I do? I've seldom used it in 3 years, and only loaded by hand. I also have a nice old Magellan. same problem? Quote Link to comment
+Robespierre
thank you. If I can't find the original cable for the Vista? Quote Link to comment
+Gitchee-Gummee
thank you. If I can't find the original cable for the Vista? If it does indeed use a serial, you still need the original (or replacement) for the adapter cable to work. The adapter cable does not 'replace' the original, it only allows connection with USB ports. Pretty sure that Garmin still has inventory of those cables. Quote Link to comment
