+lady80
I loved my droid for geocaching and now needed to upgrade the phone. My new phone is a android 4.1.1 and now the distance to the cache rather than being 400 feet is like 120 miles. Do I need a new version of geocaching or is it the phone? Quote Link to comment
+T.D.M.22
It's the phone. One thing-make sure location using GPS and location using WIFI/Cell signal is active. I had the same problem with my old phone. And it may be the phone-my current one was off by 400 meters. and that's the best it's been. Quote Link to comment
Andronicus
If you are planning to use your phone for geocaching, it is super importante to give it a good trial run while still able to return the phone. My contract allowed me to return the phone within 2 weeks, as long as I used less than 15min. of talk time, and 5Mb of data. I downloaded a caching app via wifi, and found a few caches before even enabling my network data. What model of phone do you have? Quote Link to comment
