+LDB415
My Oregon 450t arrived in the mail. I installed the xd card below the batteries. How do I know if I am getting the topographic maps that came in it or the city navigator maps from the xd card? Can I swap back and forth and if so how? Oregon 450 owners, what batteries are you finding work best? Any tips/tricks/hints/warnings I should know about? Thanks for any and all input. Quote Link to comment
+Gitchee-Gummee
Small piece of advice (if it's not too late).... Get your maps on disk or download. If you muck up the card for some reason -- you are out of maps altogether. You cannot create backups from a (purchased) map-card. We use another brand GPSr, so I will defer the first question to others more knowledgeable regarding Garmin maps. You *should* be able to switch back and forth through the main menu. Batteries -- only one piece of advice: brand-name, quality batteries. Either disposable or rechargeable. Especially as of late -- you get what you pay for. Pay for junk and that's what you get, in some cases damage to equipment occurs... and just try to get them to buy you a new GPSr! Edited December 12, 2012 by Gitchee-Gummee Quote Link to comment
+LDB415
I bought my xd card through Amazon so unless I can make a backup copy from it I don't have a way to have a backup. It only cost me $27 though so if I had to buy another it wouldn't be a full hit. Quote Link to comment
