Dave Doyle retirement

Recommended Posts

This linkand this linked Word doc say:

Please join us in honoring

David R. Doyle - 43 Years of Service

As he leaves to survey new horizons

One surveyor commented: a true geodetic guru in both the theoretical and the practical side; they don't make em' like Dave much anymore

It is bittersweet news, as we know he's more than earned it, but we hate to see our friend and mentor step out of the business. Best wishes on your future activities, Dave.

It's a mixed emotion thing. I hate to lose our resident guru, and all the help/information he has provided every one of us....but I am also glad for DaveD and his well-earned retirement.

I wish you the best Dave, in anything you decide to do.

Hopefully, you will stay in touch with your friends here.... from time to time.

Congrats Dave, it's always good to go out on your own terms. Hope you can find some time to stay active on these forums. Your thoughts and opinions were, and are, always valued.

Dave has always been very helpful to those of us who are interested in benchmarks. Thanks, Dave. And best wishes for your retirement.

Congrats to Dave on a long career. I still like to brag that I've met a guy who stood on top of the Washington Monument!

I interviewed him in 2007 for a radio show I was doing. If you're interested, it's still online on the Voice of America website.

I'm pretty sure they mean January 2013!

Congrats on making it to retirement, now get out here and help us recover more benchmarks. :D
