Zedilly
Hi all first post as I am a relative newbie and I hope you can help. Today I picked up a geocoin from a local cache which forms part of a series. After inputting the geocoin number it shows as being last seen in number 1 of the series when in fact I picked it up from number 3. Do I just log it as found from the cache it is listed in, which will add a find to my count ( i actually visited and logged number 1 last week coincidentally) or is there something else I should do to put it right. Many thanks for your help in advance. Zedilly. Quote Link to comment
+The Blorenges
You can log the geocoin by selecting the option "grab it from somewhere else" - That will bring it into your hands. If you wanted to be very accurate and correct its travel record you could then go back to your log on the #3 cache, click to edit the log, then give the geocoin a visit to that cache to show it was in there. (I'm guessing that the two caches were not far apart so in such circumstances I probably wouldn't bother.) MrsB Quote Link to comment
Zedilly
Thanks Mrs B, sounds simple and straight forward ( things always do when you know what you are doing ). I'll bash on and sort it now. Thanks again. Zedilly. Quote Link to comment
+Don_J
Also, grabbing or retrieving a TB does not effect your find count, as you are doing it from the TB's page. Also, if you wish to drop a TB into a cache that you have already posted a find on, you can use a "note" log instead of a "find" log. Quote Link to comment
