+Binrat
I have been thinking of trying to get a Geocache Series started that will honour Victoria Cross recipients. The name of the series will be called "The Victoria Cross - Restin' In _______" All caches would be easy Multi's and take you the Gravesite of a War Hero, from there you gather numbers from a grave adjacent or close to the Soldier. www.victoriacross.org.uk/ggwwbur.htm What do you think. +Landsharkz
Binrat that's a great idea! Ickster has hidden one here in Victoria to honour the two recipients who are buried here in town. It's a tough puzzle and also hard to find once on site. Here's the challenge presented in the cache listing: "Find the graves of the 2 Victoria Cross recipients buried in the Greater Victoria area." *Notice he doesn't tell us who they are or where they're buried . Then after you've done your detective work... "The cache may be found 26921 metres from the most northerly grave, and 18303 metres from the more southerly grave. Distances are "round world" vice flat (it makes a difference in this case). PM me if you need help." GC1N6J8 For Valour Quote Link to comment
+frinklabs
I have a travel bug out there that I'd like to have visit some locations relevant to Canadian recipients of the Victoria Cross in WWII: Remembrance I also did a series of sixteen caches, one for each Canadian recipient of the Victoria Cross in WWII: Canadian VCs in WWII Quote Link to comment
+BCandMsKitty
Great idea! And I would be up for it, but there are no VC recipients buried nearby. Good luck! Edited November 9, 2012 by BC & MsKitty Quote Link to comment

+Binrat
Just started the ball rolling with my previously placed cache by renaming it. http://coord.info/GC1HM9M Here's hoping this will inspire others to place one in their area. If you place one post a note and link here so we can see the progress. Binrat Quote Link to comment
