I am wondering if anyone can explain this.

 

I have a 'Bear-Dawg' Travel Bug Dog Tag that has been travelling since Monday, 17 May 2010

The last person to drop it on 10/02/2012 is Cache Cracker Jacks, who placed it in an unpublished cache

Do I wait to see if this cache will get published? I have contacted Cache Cracker Jacks asking him to get the cache published. Obviously it is his cache! Is there anything else I should do?

The unpublished cache looks like it might have been retracted. If you look at the trackable's page, that one has a line through it.

 

You've contacted the cache owner. Not much more you can do about it. It's a matter between the CO and his reviewer whether the cache gets published or not.

Yes, thats the way I see it, but I feel the cache has never been published in the first place. Seems odd how it would even appear on geocaching.com. Also could be that it is yet to be published.

The cache has not yet been enabled for review, so it is not an issue of complaining about slow publication rates.

 

The listing was created on October 1 and it is now October 6. Give the owner some time! It's quite common for a listing to remain disabled while the owner works on permission, container design, page design, etc. When ready, the owner enables the listing for review. After that, allow several days for the reviewer to do their job.

 

Since you've already contacted the CO, my advice is to wait patiently.

Thanks for the reply. Now that I know it is not yet published, I am cool with that. Having so many coins go missing I am a bit anal about my coins and TB's.

Maybe I'm being fatalistic about it, but having so many coins and TBs go missing, I'm well past the point of being anal. I'll send an email out now and again and keep my fingers crossed, but for the most part, I accept that I give up control over my trackables when I let them go. These days, if I don't want it to go missing, I keep it at home, otherwise I rolls the dice and I takes my chances.

I don't send coins out no more, just TB's with cheap gadgets attached.
