underground caches in WA

I'm sure there are more that aren't coming to mind at the moment...

Here's one in the Snoqualmie tunnel. The tunnel is under ground, so the cache is also.

This one is not located underground, but you've got to go underground to find it.

To find this one you've got to go through a one mile long lava tube.

Awesome cache!!!! Great experience even if it doesn't quite fit your criteria.

well, the ape caves is technically not underground, the cache that is. Let me think if any come to mind besides the one Sol Seaker just mentioned which am sure would remember.

I can think of caches in tunnels or in culverts, how about mine shafts?

Here is one in a mine...

As far as under the ground itself not in a tunnel, mine, or culvert, can't think of any I have done.

Thanks for some ideas. The challenge comes from Ultimate Caching Quests

They challenged us to find a cache underground with a tool. I think it will be a flashlight but if I can find one that requires a tool that would be a plus.

A ladder or some other tool is needed for this quest. A flashlight doesn't count.

Can anyone think of an underground cache that would require a tool, not flashlight?

I'll be driving from Central Oregon to meet up with quadsinthemudd near Seattle.

A late reply (and not in WA), but with a cache that is definitely underground.

Mined Mine GC2JXZF near Beaverdell, BC

Not sure how deep it is, but is must be at least 200' from the entrance. Solid rock mine. Watch for water. Definitely need a flashlight just to navigate the last hundred feet.

A ladder should would make the one in the Snoqualmie tunnel easier! It's up really high.

I don't think so. Knee high when I did it maybe a month ago.

When I found this years ago it was out of my reach and I'm average height. I'm guessing that it's migrated...

Does sound like it has migrated, I had to stand on the seat of my mobility scooter to reach it a few years ago.

Concur. Fen originally placed it pretty high up (I found it three months after placement in 2004). During the APE event, it's temporarily lower to enable faster finds for the mobile herd.
