+Bena+Mal
I keep running across people posting things like "thanks, needed that for my Battlecache" or similar with bingo and letters of the alphabet. Will someone enlighten me please on what these are all about? How do you find them on the website, etc? Thanks, Bena Please reply to Bena+Mal as I haven't figured out how to get an email reply from this forum. Thanks again. Quote Link to comment
Pup Patrol
On the right-hand side of a cache page, check to see if there are bookmark lists posted. These seem to be different Challenge Caches that people are attempting to complete. 4.15. Challenge Caches http://support.Groundspeak.com//index.php?pg=kb.page&id=206 If you look at a list of caches in your area, there will probably be caches with the word "Challenge" in them, and are marked as "?" cache types. For example, here's a "bingo" challenge cache: GC1KZ9X OBG Bingo http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=7b99dc8d-36df-4e92-926c-180217336cf2 And here's an alphanumeric challenge cache: GC1MFEK What's In a Cacher Name? - Alphanumeric Challenge! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=34dcf32f-7581-4d2f-b325-7de6d8c85539 B. ertyu
Battlecache is a contest that has been played in Manitoba several times. It's like Battleship. You form grid coordinates from found geocache waypoint IDs and use that to hit an imaginary grid. Quote Link to comment
