my cache is missing how should i go about replacing it do i just put a new one there or what?

Yes, you can just replace the container and the log book. And then post an "owner maintenance" log to let people know that you've done that.

But you might want to consider why your cache went missing. And whether it would be safe to put a replacement container/log book there again.

If the location is not safe, then you could consider archiving the cache, and perhaps find a more secure location.

You could move the cache location in addition to replacing the container/log book.

First and Foremost.... you should disable the cache IMMEDIATELY.

Makes no sense to leave it active when you know it isn't there, "allowing" potential finders to waste their time.

It looks like the cache has been replaced according to the description. I could be wrong though...

Key word... "is"....

Looks like it has came up missing three times now. Perhaps the OP should consider something else. The hide is obviously compromised.

To have it missing once, well it happens. Twice, I wouldn't use that spot again. Three times, well...... just what can one say?

If I lose a cache twice in a short period of time, game's over for that location. I will not give the local teens a third container for whatever it is they are using them for.
