How interesting to see Brandy Station in VA listed which I have extensively explored and waymarked.

 

Just a few of them --

 

1. Brandy Station Battlefield - Buford's Knoll
2. Brandy Station Battlefield - St. James Church
3. Battle Of Brandy Station - Fleetwood Hill
4. Graffiti House at Brandy Station

Because of urban development, most of the Brandy Station Battlefield is spread out in different parcels of land preserved by the CWPT.

Nice job, La de Boheme! It's nice to see that you've already waymarked one of these historic places. I was particularly impressed with the picture you posted of the Graffiti House. Wow, that would be so much fun to slowly take the paint and plaster off the walls to expose the wonderful signatures and sayings from yesteryear.

Thank you, thebeav. Brandy Station is really a cool place to visit and explore, especially the Graffiti House which is a must-see for anyone visiting the area. It is amazing how painstakingly long it takes for them to remove the plaster and paint. When I was there, there was a wall still being uncovered. I even submitted a WM on the graffiti itself, but the photos don't do it justice. To see the drawings and signatures and hear the stories that have been researched about them is truly amazing. Even J.E.B. Stuart signed the wall! Talk about ghosts from the past. They're here.
