+crunchewy
In the settings there is an option to "Adjust for Daylight Savings Time". Does checking that mean saying that it *is* daylight savings time, or only that it should adjust times for daylight savings time when it is daylight savings time? Quote Link to comment
+kantear
good question when you put it that way. but usually it means something to the effect that in some areas of some time zones ... there is no d.s.t. ... so in some things like computers, atomic clocks ... they need to know if you're in an area that uses it or not. ... quite often (as in this case) the wording of the tick box setting is confusing. hope this helps some ... and if not at least i bumped the thread. (which i think is in the wrong place.) Quote Link to comment

+stijnhommes
This option allows for automatic adjustment when you need it. If you don't select it and you are in a part of the world that has DST, you're going to be an hour off at some point during the year. Quote Link to comment
+hukilaulau
I always thought it meant that if you were out late caching you could use some daylight you had saved earlier on a day you didn't need it. Seriously, though, what year did they change the date DST starts and stops? If you have a gps made before that, will the time change on the wrong day? Quote Link to comment
