+Vertigo
So if.... I were selling my GPS, would it be legal to load the Metroguide data for the buyer before I ship it to them? Quote Link to comment
mcb
Technically it would be a violation of the copy right I think? But if you ask me only a very minor violation. When I sold my III+ I loaded up the memory of it for the guy I sold it to. I figure its a free advertisement of Garmin MapSource. If the person that buys your GPS wants to be able to do anythink else with MapSource he will have to buy a copy. He won't be able to load new maps with out it. So I don't think anyone would run you off to prison for doing it. Just don't send him some CD-R copies of the MapSource CD's Later mc GPS-Yote Quote Link to comment
