+teuto_team
We are an elderly couple travelling the Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Please recommend caches max. 2/2 Thank you very much! Aurelia and Werner from Bielefeld, Germany. Quote Link to comment
+Shilo
Caches are not allowed on the Blue Ridge Parkway. You'll have to get off the BRP to cache at highway intersections. Quote Link to comment
+hzoi
Shilo, there are no physical caches allowed on the Skyline Drive, but I did not think they were banned along the Blue Ridge Parkway. I could be wrong, of course, but I know of a few I have found along the BRP that are still active. All physical caches along the Skyline Drive were summarily archived at the request of the National Park Service, but none of the BRP caches were archived at that time. teuto team, most of the earth caches and virtual caches along the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive are 2/2 or less. Those that are further from the road, such as the earthcache at Black Rock Basin (Skyline Drive) or Humpback Rocks (Blue Ridge Parkway), will be more physically challenging, and I would not recommend them for you. Enjoy your visit! Christian, formerly from Wiesbaden, Germany, and Charlottesville, Virginia Quote Link to comment
