TommoNEryn
Hi all, Just started geocaching, almost by accident, and I'm looking to use it as a vehicle to keep my 4 year old interested in the outdoors. To get her more involved with the 'treasure hunts' I was wondering if there were any suggestions for a small, cheap, robust and simple to use and read GPS unit that she could use the find the caches (with a bit of help and guidance of course)as she runs around the East Anglian coutryside. Any direction you peoples could provide would be very welcome. Thanks in advance Tom & Eryn Quote Link to comment
+eusty
Hi TommoNEryn, I notice you have only found one cache..one of mine It depends on your budget, but the etrex 20 would be a good buy. Quote Link to comment
+Fryguy1111
My boys use the Geomate Jr. It's very easy to use with just 2 buttons, so they figured it out in about 2 minutes . It can use your own PQ's and is water resistant too. It also comes with a lanyard and is very kid friendly. It's very durable and has good accuracy as well. And the best thing about it? It cost us less than $70 USD Quote Link to comment
+eusty
I thought Geomate went bust, so no more updates? Quote Link to comment
