How do I log in my finds?

I'm going to assume that you mean "how do I log my finds online using my home computer", because you didn't say anything to the contrary.

Here's a page to help you get started:

Learn How to Log Your Find

The Help Center is a valuable resource:

Just in case not all your cache hunts results in "finds", you should remember that it's helpful to post "DNF" logs, too.

Here's a list of the different log types and icons:

I have tried those instructions, but I don't understand them.

Step 2 says, "Visit the geocahe detail page for the geocache you found." I can't seem to figure out what is meant by that or where to go to do it. Can you clarify step 2?

How did you find the cache in the first place? Did you look on a map? Did you look at search results? Do that again. Click on the map icon and then click on the title of the cache. You will see the cache detail page. On the upper right corner you will see log your visit in the navigation box. Hopefully you will be able to figure out you need to log a find and enter some text in the log box and click the submit log at the bottom. If you did this all on your smartphone with c:geo I don't have clue.
