+maliboy67
I have an Explorist 310 and just updated my membership to premium. I made a pocket query and have received it via email. Now I can't figure out how to load the information on my GPS, please help! Quote Link to comment
+EScout
If you have a windows pc get the Vantage point program from Magellan. Click on the Geocache icon and find your PQ. Then sync pc to gps. This method will get you cache images on your gps. Quote Link to comment
+maliboy67
Thanks EScout that is exactly what I needed, let the frustration end and paperless geocaching begin! Quote Link to comment
Mr.Yuck
I received an Explorist last Christmas, and haven't messed around with Vantage Point too much. I definitely have never loaded a PQ with it. I use the "drag and drop" method, where you sort of treat your GPS as a thumb drive connected to your computer. Rather than me typing it all out, here's a link from Magellan's website that describes both methods. link to support.magellan.com page Quote Link to comment
+Graculus
I've written a 'how to' guide for the Magellan GPS, how to get the PQ, transfer it into the GPS directly and using Vantage Point (which also allows you to transfer cache page photos too!). The document is a PDF file so you'll need Adobe Reader. http://www.follow-the-arrow.co.uk/resources/paperless.html#showmehow (You'll find other guides on that link too for Garmin and TomTom) Chris Graculus Volunteer UK Reviewer for geocaching.com UK Geocaching Information & Resources website - www.follow-the-arrow.co.uk UK Geocaching Wiki Geocaching.com Help Center Quote Link to comment
