+massagegirl83
Well not technically. I have my two kids (3 and 6) and on occasion, my husband. But it would be nice to find a friend to geocach with. I live in The Colony, Tx. Any ideas? I find that finding a geocach partner is as easy as finding a walking partner..... Quote Link to comment
+macatac1961
Keep an eye out for local events, that would be your best bet to meet local people with similar interests. There was one today near you in Lewisville. Quote Link to comment
+KMCRVGeocaching
Look at online logs of finders of caches you own or have done, look for people that do same caches you do to see if these folks are local to you. Look for where certain people tend to put their caches near you, that way you can determine kinda how close they are. READ logs people write and see if you can see/tell what they are like, they actually can tell a lot about the person. Look at their gallery pictures to see what the look like. Contact folks be site based email(you can or cannot include your personal email) start with some general conversation. Try a couple of events. Good luck and be care-full out there. Is it "OK" to contact people that are around you and doing the same caches? I tried to contact two people in my area that I thought I may have known, but never received a response. I wasn't sure if it was acceptable to send unsolicited messages looking for a caching buddy. Quote Link to comment
+fuzziebear3
Yes, it is okay to email people through the geocaching site. Make sure that you include your email address if you hope they will respond to you. Introduce yourself, ask what you want. Don't hound anyone or have big expectations though. You might or might not get a response. Look for events in your area, that is the easiest way to find and meet people, and then you will make new geofriends. Quote Link to comment
