New caches

How does one find new caches? Is there a setting or way to find new caches? I would love to try to be a first to find but I always see caches days after they are posted. Do I just need to check every morning? But how do I know they are new? Any tips or tricks? I have found only 200 caches so I am still learning. Thank you!

On the right hand side of the main page after you log in, you will see a link to "Set Notifications". You can decide which notificaions you want: when new traditional caches are published, when new puzzle caches are published, when a cache nearby is archived, when a cache is disabled, etc.

You can also set it up to send a text to your smart phone, if you have one. You set up the same notifications for each kind of cache you want a notice for using your phone number as the address once you have confirmed that as another e-mail address with Geoching.com. Heres a list with "n" being your phone number.

Thank you for your help. The list of phone service e-mails was very helpful.I set up my phone but do you have to set up notification for each kind of geo cache (traditional, etc.) seperately?
