Garmin GPSmap 62S - new screen

Recommended Posts

I am the owner of a Garmin GPSmap 62S, which I've owned for about 12 months. I was using the device on my bike at the weekend cycling the Coast to Coast for charity. The device was mounted on the handlebars using the Garmin bike mount, when the device somehow bounced off and skidded along the road. I managed to recover the device, however the screen had fallen off and I after searching for 10 mins, I couldn't find it.

I have spoke to Garmin, who say the don't stock any parts and I could pay £139 for a replacement device. The LCD screen has been unaffected, however the protective screen is missing, so I'm not sure if the waterproofing has now been compromised.

Does anyone have a spare screen or know how I could get my hands on one?

Any help would be appreciated

Check on eBay. I have seen some 62s units listed on there for repair parts.
