Has anyone actually confirmed that this "sort" facility is in their gps now? I upgraded to 4.20, confirmed it in Setup/About, but I do not see any Sort command anywhere in "Waypoint Manager" or "Where To/Waypoints". It is on my Montana, but not my 62S.

Same here, no "sort waypoints alphabetically" for me on my 62s. I reinstalled 4.20 still no go.

Two things....

Either we shouldn't be worried that we can't find it, or maybe we should be MORE worried considering that Garmin Customer Support can't find it either.....Ha !

Just got off the phone with them......and they're supposed to call me back when they figure out why it works on the Montana but not on the 62/78.

Thanks Grasscatcher for getting an answer from Garmin. But, scheeeeesh, wouldn't one think they would check their firmware before releasing it? Beta... beta...beta...anyone?

This is a typical Copy/Paste error, and as an extra "I don not know what I am doing" from that Garmin employee who set up that page.

There are lots of them.

As of 6/19/12 -Update to 4.30 and that fixes it.

 

On waypoint list page , hit menu, then choose Sort (Alphabetically or Nearest)
