+indigodave
On map view, I can not find a symbol legend. I am wondering what the 6 pointed blue "web" type symbol is. It does not grow with a zoom in. Thx for helping here. Quote Link to comment
+T.D.M.22
The best guess I can give you is a Wherigo cache. Don't know much about them, but that's the closest thing to what you described. On the LEFT of the map is a grey bar going from top to bottom, click it and you will get a legend. Quote Link to comment

Thx for helping here. Could you post a GC code for the cache(s) that have that symbol? Or some coordinates to direct us to the map you're looking at. Thanks. It doesn't sound like a Wherigo: The symbols for the different types of caches can be found here: http://www.geocaching.com/about/cache_types.aspx B. Quote Link to comment
+indigodave
Ya, would make sense to tell you where I saw this symbol This is the GC # GC25XZY There is a symbol both east and west of this place on the map available from the geocache home page. Does that help?? Thx for your replies! Quote Link to comment
+doug_hollyNKC
indigodave, it does help and I see exactly what you are talking about. I'm assuming you are referencing the blue snow flake looking symbols. I've searched around google maps and google earth and can't figure out what they are. I don't believe they are coming from the Geocaching website but rather which ever map source you are pulling up. Quote Link to comment

+T.D.M.22
It only shows up on mapquest for me....I'm assuming ski-ing or something else to do with snow. Quote Link to comment

Does that help?? Thx for your replies! Thanks. That helps immensely. Yup, those are skiing areas, as others have suggested. Mono Hills and Hockley Valley resorts, probably. Seems kind of silly to mark them as snowflakes, but not identify them by name. B. Edited June 12, 2012 by Pup Patrol Quote Link to comment
Pup Patrol
For the folks that zoomed in enough to see the road named 5th Line EHS, that's a rather unique thing. The EHS stands for East of Hurontario Street. Yes, it's completely useless for anyone who doesn't know where Hurontario Street is. B. Quote Link to comment
+indigodave
AH HA! Thx everyone! That is it. Ski resorts! Unfortunately, Valley Schuss is closed, gone, as is Caledon Ski Club. Hockley Ski Club is still going strong tho'. Question answered. Thx Quote Link to comment
