Hank30721
Is this a website change or am I having browser issues? Surely My Topo is still a selection! Quote Link to comment
VariableUndefined
Is this a website change or am I having browser issues? Surely My Topo is still a selection! Hmm....I don't see it either. As premium members, we have the ability to view google maps. Hooray! Now there is a 'Map Preferences' button. We have two choices. 1) Google Maps, 2) Leaflets. Under leaflets, it says that it includes My Topo, but I don't see it. Quote Link to comment

Hank30721
I was sorta hoping it was something on my end! I'm glad it is out for all to see now - maybe some Groundspeak lackies will come to the rescue. Quote Link to comment
BlueMoth
I am seriously unhappy about this. I use topo maps all the time, especially when planning a road trip route, which is what I was going to do today. Topo maps show me benchmarks and cemeteries and other cool stuff. I hope someone fixes this, fast. Please. I'll even say pretty please with sugar on it, if that gets them back. Quote Link to comment
IBcrashen
Isnt it the same as Google Terrain? Quote Link to comment
ZSandmann
Yep I just got back from a multi day backpacking/geocaching trip and was very disappointed the topos were gone right when I needed them. I resorted to physical paper copies from REI, but I hope this gets fixed so I don't have to hand plot the locations of caches on future hikes... Quote Link to comment
T.D.M.22
Nevermind. I was gonna say it's there, but it's not. I still have everything from the scripts though. Edited May 31, 2012 by T.D.M.22 Quote Link to comment
terrkan78
Isnt it the same as Google Terrain? MyTopo maps shows a lot of 4WD roads (old logging roads, etc). No other map shows these (at least not that I've found). It's a great resource to find an access route to caches out in the boonies. Quote Link to comment
Hank30721
Bueller....Bueller? C'mon Groundspeak - give us a good word here! To follow the bug posting procedures: I have duplicated the scenario (no My Topo selection under Leaflet Maps) on three different devices: 1)Windows 7 PC running Firefox 12.0 2)Windows XP PC running IE 8 3)Apple iPad II running iOS 5.0 There is not even a selection for My Topo when clicking the map type selection gadget on the upper right portion of the screen. Moun10Bike
We are aware of this issue and the dev team is looking into it. I unfortunately do not have a time frame for a fix for you yet, though. Quote Link to comment

Yossarian
What is the status of bringing back MyTopo? The Map Preferences selector still lists MyTopo as one of the options. I know there's an Esri Topo option now but it's not nearly as useful as the MyTopo USGS maps. Quote Link to comment
Yossarian
I figured out how to get USGS topo maps by using the Geocaching Map Enhancements Greasemonkey script and added CalTopo maps to it. It would still be nice to get MyTopo back though. Quote Link to comment
