Barrikady
I can not find this update on Garmin's website. Have a link? This is not a Beta release. You can use Garmin's WebUpdater to get this firmware version. Edited May 27, 2012 by Barrikady Quote Link to comment

+zeus661
I've done the update several times yet when I go to "About" in settings it says I still have version 4.04. Any thoughts? Quote Link to comment

Well not exactly, it is the GCD file that you rename to GUPDATE.gcd and just place it in the /garmin/ folder. Webupdater not required. Quote Link to comment
kb6ooc
Gee, I wonder if that's the end of updates now. It sure got quiet after that official 4.10 release. Sooner or later a Montana successor will come along and get all the love. Quote Link to comment
+splashy
Many problems ain't resolved, but when you write about them they simply don't answer. And for sure there will be a new model in the pipeline somewhere, only question is, is the public prepared to pay that much for a gadget that basically does the same as your cell phone does, free or for a few $$$. (yes I know about the rain, sun, batterylife and that sort of stuff, but for a satnav it works good), but above all, Garmin has to modernize. Edited May 31, 2012 by splashy Quote Link to comment

kb6ooc
Gee, I wonder if that's the end of updates now. It sure got quiet after that official 4.10 release. Sooner or later a Montana successor will come along and get all the love. ?? It's only been a few days. How frequently do you want updates? I worded that pretty poorly. The discussion for previous versions was pretty good here, and on other forums but when 4.10 came out it looks like there was little discussion. I suppose that's mainly because this update means very little to beta testers since it just rolls all the beta stuff into an official release. I'm hoping the Garmin guys are still able to add new features. I think there are a few useful things on various wish lists floating around. I'm just worried those wish list items might be held off for the next best thing from Garmin and the Montana (which is so darn close to perfect) might be seeing just fixes for larger bugs from here on. Then again, they ARE running a business. Edited June 1, 2012 by kb6ooc Quote Link to comment
yogazoo
Anyone else bothered by the volume indicator while the unit is in the car cradle? The speaker button shows what the volume mode would be if you were to press the button and not what the mode currently is. What I mean is if you have the volume activated the speaker icon shows the crossed out version as if the volume is muted, when you have the volume muted the speaker shows as normal like it's not muted. It just seems non-intuitive to see a button that displays the potential function when the purpose of a status screen is to show you what the current status is not what it would be if a button were to be pressed. Or am I crazy? Quote Link to comment
+A.T.Hiker
It seems to be taking the unit a lot longer to lock on to the birds after this update. Anyone else notice? Quote Link to comment
