G'Day,

being a newbie to geocaching, I have an IGO8 GPS, had it for about 3 years now. Question. Do I need to install any software on it to Geocach?

I also have a Samsung Galaxy Duos. CGeo works great on it. We are going out Friday & would really like to use the GPS.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Roger

Hi Roger

Welcome, hope you are enjoying the sport. A few points.

1) Most of us Aussies hang around the GCA forums forum.geocaching.com.au Here you will get specialised advice

2) I've had a look at the IGO8 and it is a car gps meaning it's not as accurate as say a hiking one. You shouldn't need to install software as long as you can input coordinates

Thanks Matt.

I think I will use the Phone as it was very accurate. Going out tomorrow with Friends to do a 100km Geocach run. Trouble is it is wet & cold down here.

Cheers

Roger
