Geocoins

I picked up a geocoin in Hawaii and tried to track it but the number does not bring up its origin. ****** with an inscription "Together Forever July 10, 2010 Globaltreckers"

 

Anyone recognize this?

Not sure what you mean. I plugged in that number to "find trackables" and the coin page came right up. BTW, I could have logged a "find" on the coin (but did not)...if several people do, though, the coin could get locked--NEVER post tracking numbers online, or include them in photos! Please remove it from your post.

 

You can see the places a coin or travelbug has been by scrolling though the pages of logs. The first entry could be considered its "origin" if that's what you're looking for?

Please remove the tracking number from your post, if a Moderator hasn't done it for you.

You've posted the tracking number, so you can obviously get to the coin's page. Once you're on that page, you will be able to see its history (24 pages of logs).

 

If you mean "what's the story behind it", then you can contact the coin's owner and ask.

We appreciate the interest in our coin! We have had a history of our coins tracking numbers ending up online and people discovering them. Thanks for editing your post and removing the tracking number. A little history on the coin. We made geocoins up as a wedding favor. Designed the coin to show our interests that both of us had and/or shared. We also designed it to show us uniting in marriage July 10th, 2010. We keep track of coin numbers that close friends or family have, including this one in this discussion. If you are interested in a more detailed history on these coins, feel free to email us!
