HDI: Filter on the maps

When I'm looking at geocaches on the maps, how can I filter by difficulty/terrain/favorites?

Example:

I'm planning a large trip, 1000's of KM.

To browse the maps I start at the Geocahce main page:

Play -> Hide and seek cache

type in my postal code:

Map this location

Scroll out to the whole continent.

When in this map mode, is it possible to filter?

I know 'PQ's' have advanced filters, but I find them troublesome. I would just like to filter like similar to the advanced search on the Smart phone aps. Then simply browse around the country and adjust the filters as required.

You are correct that you can't do that filtering in just the plain maps. You could do a pocket query and then view that as a map.

Why do you find pocket queries to be "troublesome"?
