Map showing caches?

Hi there,

 

I think that a feature at geocaching.com showing nearby caches on a map would be very useful. The map could be very simple like the one used in each cache description.

Main advantage is that from a given place you can see all the caches in the surrounding, so planning a tour is much easier.

Any comments on this? Anybody knows whether an implementation is planned??

Something like this? Unfortunately, the new map system is going to start off in the US.

 

There are maps available starting here, and with a good connection, you can download them, but it doesn't work on a slower connection.

 

Of course, there is the other site.

Thanks for the reply. I had a look at the map and it looks very nice.

 

However I am living outside the US so there might be a long time until I could use this feature. I would also be very happy with a map with much less detail (like the ones on the cache pages). I need a good map for the final approach anyhow...

I had a look at this map, which gives a good overview over Germany. However as there are 597 caches listed there, some areas are a bit overcrowded, so a zoom facility is missing.
