Android Posted January 3, 2003 Share Posted January 3, 2003 The cache creation page at: http://www.geocaching.com/articles/making.asp needs a minor update. I might be jumping the gun, but it might be worth doing before someone gets hurt. One cache that has been removed because the cache is gone. Ok, someone stole it right? Nope. Previous pictures of the cache look like something chewed on it. The reason? The cache container looks to be an old peanut butter jar. Peanut butter has lots of oil, and the oil seeps into the plastic. I'm guessing that a bear could smell the peanut butter and decided to try it. Later he/she got hungry and came back for seconds... If you're going to use a plastic container make sure it's never been used for food storage, or even better, go and get a brand new container. I'll let someone from geocaching.com word it more pretty like for their pages... Link to comment
