Oregon 450 and GPX 1.0.1?

Recommended Posts

Can I use the GC.com GPX 1.0.1 with my Oregon 450 (fully updated) if so will it show the attributes or do anything else new?

Yes, you can use that GPX version (which actually is just an enhanced V1.0). But Garmin's firmware does not support attributes. So you will not see the attributes on your unit.

As an aside, if you find attributes helpful, there is a macro for GSAK that creates a dummy first log that specifies all of the attributes that have been included for a cache, and that prepended log is included in the log data that GSAK sends to your GPS. So if you run your Pocket Query in 1.0.1 format, GSAK will receive that data in your PQ, and using CacheAttributes.gsk, you will have all of the attributes available to you in the field. One of the many nifty ways GSAK helps out in the field.
