Gold Brick vs Green Brick - Droid Geoap

Recommended Posts

I'm using the Droid Geocaching ap and some of the cache icons are gold colored bricks in circles, while others are green colored bricks. What's that telling me?

They're actually boxes, not bricks. A full list of the cache types and icons can be seen here.

Circles: could be PMO, or Earthcache or Wherigo or Unknown (Puzzle, Mystery).

Have you compared what you're seeing using the ap to what is shown on the geocaching map for the same area?

It's my understanding for the app I use for my droid that green box is a traditional and gold box is multi, but while viewing them on a map the ones that are inside a circle are for premium members only.

What do Earthcaches, Wherigos, and Unknown (Mystery/Puzzle) look like on the ap?

I have no idea, since I don't use aps. :D
