+pens66
Hello. I am wondering how to download a bookmark list on geocaching.com to google maps so I can plan ahead the best route to tackle the caches. The bookmark list is a series of caches that is part of a geotrail and since I want to do the whole trail I would like to be able to get it into a map to check it out. Keep in mind that while I am fairly computer savvy I am not the best with tech terms and such. Any help would be appreciated. Quote Link to comment
+The A-Team
If you run a Pocket Query from the bookmark list, you can open the GPX file in Google Earth. I don't know of a way to display it in Google Maps, but someone else might come along with a way to do it. Quote Link to comment
+YooperSnowman
As mentioned, run a Pocket Query from your Bookmark List. You can then preview the PQ in the geocaching maps--not Google Maps, but you might be able to do a screen shot and print it or use your browser's print function. Quote Link to comment
+BCandMsKitty
Would Google Earth do? If you get it (free) there is a link on the far right of the bookmark list (download Google Earth KML). Once you click on this (at least in Firefox which I use) you get the option to save the file, or open it in Google Earth. I select "Open in Google earth". Google earth will then open up and display your map with the caches in your bookmark list shown by name. Edited April 24, 2012 by BC & MsKitty Quote Link to comment
