+CrimSin
I'm trying to plan out a camping outing soon and was wondering if anyone was aware of good campsites with a decent amount of caches to be found while in the area. Any help would be great. Quote Link to comment
+Semper Questio
I'm trying to plan out a camping outing soon and was wondering if anyone was aware of good campsites with a decent amount of caches to be found while in the area. Any help would be great. I strongly suggest you ask here - Central Texas Geocachers This is where the Austin area cachers hang out online. For a quick answer, there are a few caches in McKinney Falls State Park on the east side of Austin. There are a TON in and around Austin in general. Other area parks with caches include... Berry Springs Park (Georgetown) Buescher State Park (Bastrop - all the caches in Bastrop State Park were archived after the fires) Pedernales State Park (just east of Johnson City) But again, I encourage you to check at the link above. You can get more detailed recommendations based on when you'll be here, how you like to cache, etc. You could also hook up with some folks to go caching with you if you like. Quote Link to comment
