Need Replacement GPS

I left my Oregon 300 that I had for a couple of years in a rental car the other day, and surprisingly it did not show up in the Lost & Found. So now I'm looking for a replacement unit. Paperless caching is a must. I use a Mac that has Windows loaded on it, and live in Northern California. I'm hoping to spend around $300. Any advice would be appreciated.

Unless your stuck on the touchscreen feature - I'd go with a Garmin eTrex 30.

I'd stay away from the etrex 30 until they fix the bugs. I made that mistake.

I think they pretty much have fixed them.

Garmin eTrex 30. Bugs are fixed. 2nd one for me and not a problem. Firmware 2.7 While nothing is perfect, this thing is now good, IMO. Still, buy from REI and you can return it no questions asked if it doesn't suit you.
