Allowing arm-chair logging.

Hi,

I would like to place a unknown cache, which needs to know something about our country. (I live in foreign country, temporarily)

I requested some information(picture and coodinates) to local geocachers.

As a return, I would like to give the cachers the right to log as Found.

Is it possible to log that way? Signing without visiting is against the rule, or not?

There can be some guideline, then I would like to know it.

Thanks in advance.

The guidelines make it clear that caches must have a physical logbook. Also, caches must make GPS usage an integral part of finding the cache.

This page makes things real clear. http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=309

Physical geocaches can be logged online as "Found" once the physical log has been signed.

What are the rules of geocaching?

1 If you take something from the geocache (or "cache"), leave something of equal or greater value.

2 Write about your find in the cache logbook.

3 Log your experience at www.geocaching.com
