I'm not sure what I found

I don't usually hunt benchmarks, but every once in a while I find them by accident, and I like to log them. I am vacationing in Neskowin, Oregon this weekend, and I climbed Proposal Rock to find a cache. I guess there is a proper benchmark at the top of the rock which I did not see , but I did see one on my way up. It reads: "Tillamook County Survey Mark, Safeguarding Your Land, Do Not Disturb, 500 Fine or Jail, S26 | S25, S35 | S36, RS793, 1981" Any suggestions on how I should log this one?

howarthe, what you found is a section corner from the Public Land Survey System. Very few of these boundary monuments are included in the database of geodetic survey monuments maintained by the NGS, a circa 2000 snapshot of which is used by geocaching for its database of benchmarks. If you'd like to log this, I believe there is a category for these on Waymarking.
