+demon999
Since the change from Google Map, the clicking on geocache icons on the Map page has been with bad performance. But since this morning, it is no longer at all possible to click on an icon and get the description to see the cache. The icons appear well, but simply there is no longer interaction possible. I experience this only on my MAC. The windows system is fine. Can this be a problem with the Java update Apple brought out a few days ago which I applied yesterday? On the Mac I have the same issue with Firefox and Safari Quote Link to comment

+The A-Team
I've the same problem with my PC/Windows. VillTroll, Norway Me too. Can you both post what operating system and browser you're seeing this problem with? I just tried it on Windows Vista and 7, both using Firefox 11 and IE9, with no problems. Quote Link to comment
+Snicker666
Same problem here too. Tried every browser. Uses Windows 7. Tried on several PC's. Please fix asap Edited April 6, 2012 by Snicker666 Quote Link to comment

+Snicker666
double clicking work?? Double click is zoom in map. So no, it does not help. Quote Link to comment
+Blue Meanie
Didn't work for me in Chrome, IE, and Firefox. All failed. Windows 7 OS. Double clicking doesn't work either. Maps are non-interactive at this point. Doesn't matter which map. Quote Link to comment
+The A-Team
Still working for me, though the bubbles did take slightly longer to come up than earlier (still only about 1 second). FWIW, I checked my Java version, and I've got the most up-to-date version. Quote Link to comment
+The A-Team
Looks like I spoke too soon. After browsing around the map for a few minutes, I found one area that no longer accepted clicks on caches. This was an area about 1 map tile tall and a few map tiles wide. Outside of this area, or even inside this area at different zoom levels, I could still click on caches. After a refresh, everything worked normally again. There seems to be at least an intermittent problem (the worst type of problem to troubleshoot, unfortunately). Quote Link to comment

"Your Java is working - Latest Java installed" http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp I dont think the maps use java at all. Javascript maybe, but that is browser dependent. Anyway, I have had trouble clicking on caches since last update, but today it does not work at all. As mention before, have tried both IE, FF and Crome on Windows 7. Have even called a friend , witch have the same problem now. Something is wrong!! It worked okei yesterday. Edited April 6, 2012 by Snicker666 Quote Link to comment

Pup Patrol
Patience is a virtue, I guess. The problem I was having earlier has gone *poof* and I can once again hover over the icon and get the cache name, and click on the icon and get the info. Thanks for the fix. B. Quote Link to comment

+sammydee
I can't click on caches in maps, either from Chrome on my Win7 system or from my iPad. It used to work, and now it doesn't. Plus the maps are incredibly slow ... refreshing or zooming takes a minute before the caches reappear ... and they still aren't clickable. Quote Link to comment

+rxninja
I'm having this problem too. I can't click on any caches. The icons appear, but they aren't selectable. I've noticed this with random caches for the last few weeks, but now it is all caches. Using Safari browser on my mac Quote Link to comment
+anakerose
I'm not getting any errors, but they're not working for me either. I've tried IE and Firefox using Windows 7. Crappy since I was working on our 11 day trip!! Quote Link to comment
+MDGolom
I logged into tonight to download tomorrow's caches to my GPS and had the same problem everyone else is having. Tried it on my Mac and thought it was a problem with the new Java update, but my Win7 laptop has the same problem. Fired off an e-mail to customer service and tried again and it works. Not sure if they're doing something or just flaky. Quote Link to comment
+MDGolom
One last thought. Since it's working for me now, I checked the bottom of the map and it says that it's powered by Mapquest not Google Maps. I'm wondering if whether it works is based seeing it in Mapquest or Google Maps. Quote Link to comment
+cathluk
Not working for me either. I've reloaded the site several times. The bottom of the map say Mapquest so that's not the problem. NOT GOOD - I had planned to go geocaching on Easter & won't have time to download caches tomorrow. Quote Link to comment

+The MnMs
Same problem here. Multiple computers, multiple browsers. Just did a string of caches north of Guelph, Ontario, and having a bugger of a time logging them. 9:47pm EDT. Site was very slow today. Quote Link to comment
+SgtMikal
It is definitely an intermittent problem, and I have been seeing it both at work (Windows XP Pro, IE) and at home (Windows 7, Firefox 11.0). This is quite annoying and frustrating indeed. Quote Link to comment
+The A-Team
I'm wondering if whether it works is based seeing it in Mapquest or Google Maps. As the maps are right now, there is no Google Maps, so there's no way that could have any effect. I suspect the problems are related to the holiday weekend. I think the site is just getting over-taxed. Quote Link to comment
+dukex1981
Still got the same problem (FF11, Win7) since the Maps changed to OSM, Mapnik... Cache-Icons appear on map but no possibility to see the cache details. Reloading the cache helps but this is annoying. Sometimes the problem appears when using another map-layer... Dulce-Joy
I've had this same problem (Windows 7) ever since they brought out the OSM maps. Edit: Also, if you move the toolbar on the left of the map, and you move the cursor over the cache icons, the names of the caches will appear in the upper left-hand corner of the map. I haven't experienced this behavior, but I did have trouble clicking on the cache icons in the map recently. Click click click and nothing happens. Zooming in and out a few times seems to correct the problem, but jeez, what a pain. OS X 10.6.8 using Firefox 4. Quote Link to comment

Yes, I found a solution for Chrome users! Disable all extensions in Google Chrome. In my case the uTorrentBar extension was the malefactor. Edited October 6, 2012 by DanPan Quote Link to comment
