+schwoats
Hi, How can I save a cache for offline use? I cannot find the Button "Save for Offline Use" in Geocache Details. thanks! Quote Link to comment
Moun10Bike
You need to select the "Save to Offline List" option on the cache details page. Moving this from bug reports to "How Do I...?" Quote Link to comment
+schwoats
yes, but there is no "Save to Offline List" option on the cache details page! (Samsung Galaxy S, German app - should be "Für Offline-Nutzung speichern") thanks Edited March 31, 2012 by swoarts Quote Link to comment
Moun10Bike
What do you show below the "Post a Log/Field Note" and "Add to Favorites" options? Quote Link to comment
+schwoats
Ahh, there is "Als Favorit speichern" (save as favorite). Maybe this should be renamed in "Für Offline-Nutzung speichern" (Save for Offline Use). I thought this is to give favorit points! thanks! Quote Link to comment
Moun10Bike
No, "Add to Favorites" does award a favorite point. However, below this option you should see a "Save for Offline Use" option. Are you saying that is missing? What version of the app are you running? Quote Link to comment
+schwoats
I have: 1. Schreibe ein Log/eine Field Note (post a log) 2. Zu Favoriten hinzufügen (add to favorite) 3. Als Favorit speichern (this should be Save for Offline Use, in German "Für Offline-Nutzung speichern")I think, its a false translation 4. Aus Favoriten entfernen Version 2.3.1 thanks Quote Link to comment
Moun10Bike
Yes, it sounds like there is an errant translation or two there. I will follow up with our translators on Monday. Thank you! Quote Link to comment
+rockandroll_acdc
There's a few ways to do it. The one i use since live maps is back, i choose the cache then choose store. It should now be saved. You can also go to the geo site and save abunch "LOC" caches to your download folder and your SD card. Then after unplugging your phone cord. Just go to c:geo stored them import. Ichwardort
It's really a pity that it's still not possible to download offnline maps for the use within the Android app. Therefore this app is unfortunately useless to me for offline caching?! ;-( I don't understand that this hasn't been prioritized as within the iOS version of the app this has been a features since ages! +CaCO3x
I am also very surprised that the maps are not stored like done on the iphone ANout translation erros: The splashscreen has a typo as well. Beside of that, on my tablet, it uses a very bad quality image! Quote Link to comment
