It is based on a speech that I gave for toastmasters back in the mid-1990s in which I argued that humans are migratory like monarch butterflies or Arctic terns. We have always felt an impulse to move onto the next valley, continent, or planet and if we did not have this instinct we would die off as a species. I hope to have the artwork ready for the mint in a few weeks. I am still struggling with color schemes and especially what color to make the rocket; right now it is monarch colored, but it could just as easily be white or gray. I chose Monarchs for the comparison on this coin because their migration lasts for multiple generations just as our migration into space will. They also symbolize the transformation into something better. Quote Link to comment
