I reported this one, and had to send them a video since they couldn't reproduce it on their own. They sent me an email saying 3.96 fixed this (nice to get an email about it). Unfortunately, no dice. Still no workie. I emailed them again.

A bug: Go to trip computer, select Menu\Setup Trip Computer, select down arrow to go to second page and gps shuts off. I have reported it.

Tried it, and on mine it crashes as soon as I select Setup already.

Dito!

Selecting the setup of the Trip Computer immediately crashes my Montana.

My Montana also crashes when I:

1. Select "Where To?"

2. Select "Addresses"

3. Search for an address (in my case, I've the CN 2012.40 EU installed)

4. After an address was entered the map view with "GO" opens up

5. Here select the "map setup" with the "3-lines button"

6. Make a change in the map setup (i.e. change the active map)

7. Try to return to the map view -> Montana shuts down

Is not a very logic move, eg you're searching for an address in one map you find it, then you switch to another map.

Even if this Beta is not stable, you can't blame the Beta on this.

While this is obviously true, it isn't really the proper way to shutdown the device on doing something wrong. A simple error message would do. So I think it is a good discovery and should be reported to the Montana team.

Then change anything else, i.e. track-up, north up.

It happens with any changes in the map setup.

Aside from the issue with the trip computer, I also found that all my waypoints and geocaches were missing. Anyone else noted this?

I'll bet they are still there. Look in the gpx folder and see if the gpx files are still there.

Yes, they were still in the GPX folder, but for some reason, they did not appear in the Geocaching/managemwaypoint folder.

Anyway, I downgraded to 3,90 again as I found the issue with the tripcomputer too big of an annoyance. Will wait for a more stable version (non-beta)
