Mark a location for TB without finding a cache

Greetings, strange question here but I'm in the military heading to Afghanistan. I have a TB that I'm using to track my travels. My route of flight will take me through a couple of locations between where I am now and where I'll ultimately wind up and I won't be allowed to leave the secured area where there won't be any GC's. Is there an acceptable way to log my personal visit to a geographical location without being able to depart the secure airport area? Thanks for the help!

I personally don't see any OPSEC problems with what you want to do, but you better clear that with you Chain of Command before you leave electronic footprints of your route of travel. Even if they don't see anything wrong with it, they may not like if you do it without clearing it first.
