+LaPaglia
Please dont Markwell me on this. I know its been covered before. However with the new forums I will bring it up again. Geocaching is a community of people. As such these people will, by nature, desire to discuss things other than Geocaching. With the new forums is it now possible to have the often requested Off-Topic Fourm? Thank you. Lapaglia Muga Muchu (forget yourself, focus) Link to comment
+brdad
Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't a topic like this belong somewhere other than a geocaching forum? And you are right, this has been discussed before. On the road of life there are people in cars and people getting hit by cars. Link to comment
+DeerChaser & Company
I agree, we should have an off-topic forum. When you go to an event cache or gathering do you ever change the subject? Rino 110 MeriGreen 128 Link to comment

+ClayJar
But, oh, we *do* have an off-topic forum! It's called the geocaching chat! (Of course, it's on-topic on Mondays from 8:30pm Central (US) until about 10pm Central, but other than that, it's just a bunch of geocachers hanging out around the #Geocache.) ((Okay, so it's non-persistent, but then again, shouldn't an off-topic forum be non-persistent? )) [[[ ClayJar Networks ]]] Home of Watcher downloads, Official Geocaching Chat, and the Geocache Rating System Link to comment

You sure know how to take the fun out of things! Everyone else who replied to Lapaglia knows him pretty well. As a matter of fact, what Kablooey posted was really a bit of an inside joke. Lapaglia is a regular in the IRC channel. As a matter of fact, he maintains a website that tracks the stats in the channel. The regulars there all have avatars on his stats website, just like here in the forums. Tae-Kwon-Leap is not a path to a door, but a road leading forever towards the horizon. Link to comment

Perhaps I should word it this way, This is a formal request based on reasons given at the top of this thread to have the idea of an OT forum reconsidered and approved. its not a demand, if it doesnt happen I am not going to run off and trash anyone or start my own web-site, just a request. +Renegade Knight
Now wait a dadgum second here. How in the hell are we supposed to get off topic in an off topic forum? Come to think of it, how could you possibly be on topic either? Wherever you go there you are. Link to comment
+Mr. Snazz
Are you people insane? Under no circumstances should that EVER be used as a cache container. This is ridiculous! This has to be a late April Fool's joke or something. There's just no way that a sane, responsible adult would hide a geocache like this. Stay the heck away from my neck of the woods! Link to comment
AlphaOp
Hey Folks. I made the request about an off-topic thread awhile back, and I (accidentally) made another topic about it in this section. I had no idea there was another one. Oops. Again, this is a private forum, and the owner has the critical say in everything, and if they don't want it, that's cool. But I think it would be a neat idea to add an off-topic section. Like Lapaglia, I'm not going to freak out if it isn't added, this is a pretty cool place (from Spring to Fall, of course.)
