The Navigatorz
It appears the only way now to find someone's profile is to do a search under the Hide and Seek tab for caches found by Username. Then when you get there, you click to open up one of the caches they have found, then scroll down through the logs to find that person's log, then click on the profile link near their name. Kind of tedious sometimes. It would be nice if there was an easier way to search for profiles. Perhaps add a search box on the Hide and Seek page where you could enter a username and it would take you straight to their profile. Also if you want to search for other profiles, there could be a search box on everyones profile page that says "Search for another profile?" Then you just enter a new username and click Go. Just a thought. Link to comment
sbell111
A slightly quicker way would be to pull the list of caches the individual has hidden http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?u=Bruiserr. Open any cache and click on [profile]. It's still three steps. Link to comment
TeamVE
There's still problems with both ways... Method 1 Won't find an account that hasn't logged any caches as 'Finds' yet. Method 2 Won't find an account that hasn't hidden any caches yet. It would be nice to have a simple profile search link that would eliminate these limitations.... ---------------------------------- ---------------------------------- "The number you have reached is imaginary, please rotate your phone 90 degrees and try again... <beeeeep>" Link to comment
photosaurus
Wow, thanks for that link sbell111. I have missed that page entirely. What a great search page. I bookmarked it. But how did you find that page? Seems like they could just add "Profile" as one of the search options on that very page Link to comment
photosaurus
Ok, I found that TINY link on the home page. It is NOT on the Hide and Seek page. I have also found that if you want to search by state, there are two different links which will give you two different state search pages. Only on will get you the map. Solution: put ALL search options on ONE PAGE! Link to comment
