+Sweet-Sour Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 (edited) I was at Forrest History #1 GC1172V today for a 2nd DNF, while searching for the cache, found a trig point (PSM), have taken photo with GPS and co-ords, searched this site on how to logit, nothing made any sence for a new find. How do I logit? Edited March 3, 2012 by sweet - sour Quote
+McPhan Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 (edited) Very unlikely that any Trig Point is listed on the Geocaching site as they don't support virtual caches anymore. Trig Points are, however, listed on Geocaching Australia where you'll also find the friendly Australian forums full of good folk wanting to help. Edited March 3, 2012 by McPhan Quote
+3l diesel Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 (edited) If it is a trig station, then http://www.Waymarking.com/cat/details.aspx?f=1&guid=18b359b3-84e5-42f9-bbcf-c40ae533c962 (ie the Waymarking category for Australian trig points) is the place to go. If it is a survey disk, http://www.Waymarking.com/cat/details.aspx?f=1&guid=f3b5d2a8-9cbb-4d0a-9d55-519f2aed7cc0 (Australian/NZ Benchmarks). If you are not familiar with Waymarking, it is the "little sibling" of geocaching, supported by Groundspeak and is for all those points of interest that are around the countryside. It is effectively a huge database of "interesting objects" depending on your interests. It might be worthwhile having a look at. Your Username and Password (and Premium membership)are the same as for geocaching.com . cheers Edited March 6, 2012 by 3l diesel Quote
